Ever since childhood George has tried to capture what ever he could and his first camera was a kodak instamatic. His work has appeared in the British Journal for Photography as well as the renowned South African travel magazine, Getaway. George went on to study political siences where he ended up in the diplomatic corps of South Africa. He has worked in Madagascar, France, Burundi and Rwanda. In 2007 he obtained an MSc degree in Development Management from the London Open University. He then joined the United Nations where he worked in the Ivory Coast after which he returned to South Africa.
In 2005 and 2006 he studied Photography through the New York Institute of Photography. He is, like so many, inspired by the works of Ansel Adams, Frans Lanting, Martin Rak and Timothy Poultin
